ANT Transport was established in 1985 and has evolved from humble beginnings as an operation involving tipper trucks to what it is today – a medium- size business that provides an end-to-end logistics solution for customers in Melbourne, and throughout Victoria, by combining Container Transport and Unpacking services, with Warehousing and Freight Delivery services,
People
Led by Director and original founder, Tony Evangelou, ANT employs passionate people that are more often than not a reflection of his fairly simple work ethos – i.e. perform always and build trust with customers, be part of the team, and take pride in your work and workplace
Facilities
ANT’s base operates from a 20,000 sqm site in Laverton North that includes over 7,500 sqm of warehouse storage space, a container storage yard, and a significant hard stand operational area. This is supplemented by a second warehouse providing a further 3,000 sqm of storage space, also located in Laverton North
Fleet
A fleet of company-owned and contractor trucks and trailers enables ANT to scale operations to
meet changing customers’ demands, whilst maintaining its next-day delivery promise
Technology
ANT operates ERP software that is purpose-built for the Australian transport and warehousing
industry. The ERP consists of an integrated Transport Management System (TMS) and Warehouse
Management System (WMS)
Workplace Health and Safety
ANT believes that health and safety is a part of its business, just as much as providing excellent
customer service is. As a result the company has invested in the development of the ANT WHS
Management System that consists of step-by-step Safety Operating Procedures, plus a detailed
Training Program and the WHS Handbook for employees and contractors
Chain of Responsibility
The ANT CoR Management System is ANT’s response to the requirements of the Chain of
Responsibility legislation linked to Heavy Vehicles in Australia. It consists of four Operating
Procedures covering Vehicle Standards and Maintenance, Fatigue Management, Speed
Management, and Mass Dimension and Loading. It also includes a detailed Training Program and
the CoR Handbook for employees and contractors
